IMDb the online movie database used by this blog and Amazon services

IMDb the website and service implementation on offer via the Amazon Appstore.

Amazon App Review: PhotoSuite Pro 4 vs. Photo Lab

As you may know this is the website that gives me the story background on the movies I will eventually review. Besides that it offers actor credits, actor biographies, movie trivia, and movie watcher discussion threads.

Originally started in 1990 by professional computer programmer Col Needham, IMDb was integrated in the UK as the Internet Movie Database Ltd. in 1996.

Growing from what was CEO and founder Col Needham's personal movie database.

While in 1998, IMDb would be acquired by Amazon.com. So it was with this move that eventually IMDb in the present would be implemented to actor recognize actors in movies and access movie info. while you watch a movie on an Amazon device.
