Upholding A Good Skin Regimen: How to Cautiously Use a Benzoyl Peroxide cleanser without burning Your Face

I reveal one way you can inexpensively get rid of acne. If you're of the people that like me suffers from occasional acne you might want to know a way to get rid of unsightly blemishes without it becoming expensive. Here's how.

Benzoyl peroxide is a chemical that is strong enough to kill acne causing bacteria. When used in a routine it can clear up your face and evens out your skin tone. The only problem is benzoyl peroxide is extremely harsh. It's so harsh that is dries out your skin. Meanwhile there are talks from some people that say it's like applying a bleaching agent on your face but the truth of the matter is that so far there have been no reported incidents of terrible toxicity from those who use it. Therefore based on my use of it as well, I strongly believe that even if it was a chemical of this degree it shouldn't be classified as dangerous. The fact that it doesn't cause any true harm means that it is tolerable enough for your skin. And besides it does work to clear up your face and for those who have a lot of facial blemishes this might be the only thing that can make you feel confident in yourself and to improve your skin.
That's why I love benzoyl peroxide. It's a treatment that effectively works. Of course, always within continued use.

You can use it continually in small strength doses, where I recommend anything less than 5% in strength. I don't recommend maximum strength ones like 10% because those are just too strong and they will harm your skin, from your skin burning like it has acid, itching, to possible wrinkles. Think of benzoyl peroxide like facial scrubs which should only be used every 2 or 3 days since they are much too abrasive for your face skin. Therefore, once a day, every 2 days is good enough and even when you use it like say in the morning be prepared to use a regular foaming cleanser at night.

  • *By the way, you can use benzoyl peroxide as a spot treatment on pimples and for some that might be a little less intrusive on your skin*

After you use the benzoyl peroxide cleanser you should make sure you moisturize. You need to, really. Benzoyl peroxide will dry out your skin so much you really should apply a facial moisturizer and in this case I do hope you have one that is high quality like a Bliss SPF facial moisturizer ($27.00). Bliss products are high-end enough that they actually soothe your skin and even while it does that that, it feels wonderful on your skin.

Should you not apply any non-oily moisturizer on your face it will get bad. At least, expect major itching, irritation, burning, and an uneven skin tone. Until it clears. Like I said benzoyl peroxide can be used effectively but you have to be smart about using it. This includes staying away from the sun one of the major purveyors of making your skin age.
